Introduction

My name is Bryce, I’m the man behind this whole operation, and I LOVE MUSIC! You can probably tell that it’s kind of my thing. The Groove Grounds kind of acts as an open love letter to the creative medium that has my heart. I’ve thought for a long time about where I can output all the stuff I have to say, tell people about the music I love, and just say out loud all the thoughts I have to share, and of all places it was born in a Digital Marketing course at a technical college.

The idea

My instructor told me I needed to start a business for this class. Something that’ll let us build a website, and give us a place to practice all the skills we’ll be learning, so obviously to me the next step was clear, as I’ve had this thought for a while. I’m gonna start a record store that also has a cafe in it. A place where you can go grab a coffee while you look for your favorite album, or just sit down and do your work all day. We’ll have a music club where we just choose an album and put it on to listen to it and talk about it in the shop every week, and just hang out with a community of music lovers. I hope that this can come to fruition someday, but we have to start somewhere. So why not a music blog? We can start building this community now!

The Groove Grounds is ultimately about the community.

I’m just writing about the music I love and hoping that maybe people want to hear it. I’m writing hoping maybe I can find some like-minded people and make some friends and connections along the way. Really, I just want to find people who love music and think that this community would be super cool like I do. That’s the dream, and I would love for you to be a part of it!
